Confessions (2010)
One of my main inspirations for cinematography is the Japanese film confessions. When watching this non-linear film for research I fell in love with the shots composition, lighting and mood. The way everything seemed to convey some deep darkness within all the characters. The continuous use of close ups inspired me as that is also my favorite type of shot in films. It shows tiny little meanings to the audiences that the characters are unaware of. The characters microp expressions are laid out for all to see.
